Chicago – May 10, 2026
Katy Perry will perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on June 12, ahead of the first World Cup match in the United States, FIFA announced Friday. The show will precede the U.S. team’s opening game against Paraguay and is part of the tournament’s expanded opening celebrations.
Perry will be joined by a global lineup that includes Future, LISA, Tyla, Anitta, Rema and DJ Sanjoy, underscoring FIFA’s plan to blend sport with major entertainment for the 2026 tournament. The ceremonies are scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff.
The World Cup will open across three host nations, with Mexico and Canada also staging their own pre-match ceremonies for their first games. FIFA’s entertainment program signals a high-profile start to the first 48-team men’s World Cup.
