Chicago – February 16, 2025

French President Emmanuel Macron has called an urgent meeting with European leaders to talk about former U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a European official.

As reported by Politico, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski mentioned the meeting at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. Two European Union officials confirmed that the meeting is set for Monday.

“I’m very glad that President Macron has invited our leaders to Paris,” Sikorski said. He explained that the discussion would focus on the impact of Trump’s actions in a serious way.

Sikorski also compared Trump’s approach to a Russian military strategy called razvedka boyem, meaning “reconnaissance through battle.” He explained that Trump often makes bold moves, sees how others react, and then changes his position. “We need to respond,” Sikorski added.
