Chicago – July 26, 2026

India secured the T20 series against Zimbabwe with a convincing victory in the second match, thanks to outstanding performances from Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma. Chasing a competitive target, Kishan provided a solid start with an aggressive knock, while Varma anchored the innings with a composed and fluent half-century to guide India home.

The pair shared a crucial partnership that kept the scoreboard moving and eased the pressure during the chase. Zimbabwe’s bowlers fought hard and picked up timely wickets, but they were unable to break India’s momentum as the visitors maintained control throughout the innings.

Earlier, Zimbabwe posted a respectable total after contributions from their top and middle order, but India’s disciplined bowling attack prevented the hosts from setting a more challenging target.

The victory gave India an unassailable lead in the series, highlighting the team’s batting depth and all-round balance. The final match will offer Zimbabwe an opportunity to end the series on a positive note.
