Chicago – June 27, 2025

A Fundraiser was arranged for Bushra Amiwala by Alliance of Indians in America and North American College as the sponsors. The event was held at Khan BBQ, Devon and Western Ave, Chicago.

Bushra Amiwala is the Congress Candidate for Illinois’ 9th Congregational District. If elected she will takeover Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky’s place as she has recently retired.

Bushra Amiwala addressed the guests and explained her dream to give something back to her community. Bushra Amiwala is a trailblazing public servant, bridge-builder, and bold voice for underrepresented communities. Her journey into public service began with a simple but powerful belief: government should reflect the people it serves — in values, in vision, and in voice. She is the youngest woman elected for the 73.5 Board of Education.
