Chicago – February 02, 2026

A brief reference to PM Narendra Modi appeared in one of the released emails, specifically mentioning his 2017 visit to Israel. Some social-media posts and opposition politicians interpreted this as a link or suggestion of advisory influence.

The Government of India has categorically rejected any implication of a link between Modi and Epstein, calling the reference “trashy ruminations by a convicted criminal” and asserting there is no evidence of contact, advice, or wrongdoing.

Opposition parties (e.g., Congress) have criticized the mention as a matter of national dignity and demanded explanations, though no official evidence supports claims of deeper involvement.
