Chicago – August 28, 2025

A tragic shooting took place on Wednesday morning at a Catholic school in Minneapolis. Two children, aged 8 and 10, were killed, and 17 others were injured. Fourteen of the injured were also children, ranging from 6 to 15 years old. The other three injured were elderly adults in their 80s. All of the injured are expected to recover.

The shooting happened during a Mass at Annunciation Church, which is next to Annunciation Catholic School. The shooter, identified as 23-year-old Robin Westman, fired at the people inside the church through the windows. The attack occurred at around 8:30 a.m. local time.

Westman was later found dead in the back of the church from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police are still trying to understand why he carried out the attack.

President Trump expressed his sympathy and said that he was briefed on the situation. He also mentioned that the FBI was involved in the investigation, and he asked everyone to pray for those affected.
