President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Dr. Massad Boulos, a Lebanese-American businessman and lawyer, to serve as Senior Advisor on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs. Trump made the announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social, praising Boulos for his extensive experience in both law and business, as well as his work on the international stage.
Trump described Boulos as a “highly respected leader” and an “unwavering supporter of peace in the Middle East,” emphasizing his role in building strong relationships with the Arab American community.
Boulos, who has long supported Republican values, played a key role in connecting with Arab American voters, especially in Michigan, where many were disappointed with President Biden’s policies on issues related to Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon.
According to reports, Boulos’ father and grandfather were active in Lebanese politics, and his father-in-law has ties to the Free Patriotic Movement, a Christian political party with connections to Hezbollah.
Trump’s team believes Boulos’ diplomatic and business expertise will be valuable in advocating for U.S. interests in the Middle East. With his background, Boulos is expected to help strengthen ties between the United States and the Arab world.
