Chicago – March 22, 2025

Senator Bernie Sanders has become a prominent figure for those opposing President Trump’s rapid changes to the federal government and those disappointed with the Democratic Party’s approach.

Sanders is known for his strong economic messages criticizing the increasing power of billionaires and big corporations in politics. This message has gained more attention during President Trump’s second term, especially with Elon Musk’s significant role in reducing federal spending and pushing for federal job cuts.

In an NPR interview, Sanders expressed that what was once seen as a distant issue is now clearly visible to many. “Now, people understand that our government is primarily serving the billionaires,” he said.

Sanders also criticized the Democratic Party for moving away from the interests of the American working class. He suggested that the party should focus on important issues like income inequality, health care, and climate change to regain support.

Recently, Sanders began his “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with events in Las Vegas and Tempe, Arizona, where he was joined by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. They addressed large crowds, discussing the dangers they believe President Trump and his allies pose to American democracy and governance.

The tour’s success continued in Denver, Colorado, where over 30,000 people attended his rally, marking it as one of his largest gatherings, surpassing attendance at any of his presidential campaign events.
