Thousands of protesters from across India gathered at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to demand action over alleged exam irregularities and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The demonstration, led by the youth-backed Cockroach Janta Party, drew students, parents, and activists and remained tense amid heavy police deployment and barricades.

Organisers said the sit-in began as a response to alleged paper leaks and broader concerns about fairness in India’s education system. Reports described the crowd swelling into one of the largest protest mobilisations in recent years, with demonstrators continuing their agitation even after police intervention and clashes during a march toward Parliament.

Officials opened dialogue with protest leaders as the standoff intensified, but the movement said its demands had not yet been met. The protesters continue to press for accountability, compensation for affected families, and a public response to the crisis they say has shaken confidence in the system.
