The United States has exhausted much of its stockpile of long-range precision missiles in the war against Iran, according to people familiar with internal military data, underscoring the strain the conflict has placed on the Pentagon’s arsenal. Two of the sources told Reuters the army has used “virtually all” of its ATACMS and PrSM munitions.

The missiles, designed for accurate strikes from long distances, have become central to U.S. operations in the Middle East. Their heavy use has renewed questions about whether Washington can sustain a prolonged high-intensity campaign while also preparing for potential conflicts elsewhere, including in Asia and Europe.

A separate report cited by Reuters said the depletion has prompted internal discussion in the Trump administration about stockpile recovery and military readiness. Officials did not disclose how many missiles remain.
