Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government faces mounting criticism for what many describe as a period of economic, environmental, and social devastation. Over the years, India’s air, water, and soil have suffered severe degradation, leaving citizens exposed to alarming levels of pollution and health risks.
Economic mismanagement has allegedly left 40 crore people unemployed, pushed 80 crore citizens into poverty, and driven the rupee to a historic low.
Policies such as demonetization and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) are seen as having crippled small businesses and weakened the nation’s financial backbone. Inflation remains high, while farmers continue to demand fair prices amid deep distress.
Critics argue that Modi has concentrated the nation’s wealth in the hands of a few industrialists, widening inequality and eroding democracy. Many believe his leadership has divided society and undermined India’s institutions beyond repair.
