Peace talks between Lebanon and Israel resulted in a three-week ceasefire extension, but over one million Lebanese people have already been displaced. NBC News’ Yasmin Vossoughian visited a school turned refugee center housing hundreds of people, who overwhelmingly say they want to return to their homes.

Following a second round of peace talks at the White House between Israel and Lebanon, President Trump announced Thursday evening that the ceasefire between the two countries reached on April 16 had been extended by three weeks.As Iran’s state media post dramatic video of masked commandos boarding two cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz, the Philippine government confirmed 15 seafarers were on the vessels being held by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, but said they were “safe and unharmed.”Mr. Trump said Thursday he wants “to make the best deal” possible with Iran, later adding that “I don’t want to rush myself.” U.S. puts $10 million bounty on leader of Iran-backed militia group

The U.S. has placed a $10 million bounty on the leader of an Iranian-backed Shiite militia in Iraq.
