Vandalism of Christmas Decorations at Raipur’s Magneto Mall

On December 24, 2025, during a “Chhattisgarh bandh” (strike) called over local communal tensions and alleged religious conversion disputes, a large group of people entered Magneto Mall in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and vandalised Christmas decorations such as trees, stars, and other festive displays. Witnesses and CCTV footage show men with sticks forcing entry and damaging the décor.

Police registered an FIR and have been investigating to identify who was responsible. Several people were later arrested in connection with the incident.
