Chicago – June 21, 2026

Hundreds of supporters of India’s Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) gathered in New Delhi to demand the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Protesters banged steel plates and utensils, creating a noisy demonstration to draw attention to concerns over examination paper leaks and alleged irregularities in national entrance exams.

The protest took place near key government areas, with participants accusing the education ministry of failing to prevent repeated exam-related scandals. Demonstrators argued that students’ futures have been negatively affected and called for greater accountability within the education system.

The CJP, a youth-led movement that began as a satirical online campaign, has gained popularity among students and young job seekers. Led by Abhijeet Dipke, the group focuses on issues such as unemployment, corruption, and education reform.

Organizers said the plate-banging protest was intended as a symbolic expression of public frustration. They pledged to continue demonstrations until their demands are addressed. Security personnel remained on alert as crowds gathered, while authorities monitored the situation closely.

The protests have attracted nationwide attention and sparked debate over the management of India’s examination system.
