Chicago – March 23, 2025

Former President Donald Trump gave some advice to Vice President Kamala Harris, suggesting that if she runs for governor of California, she should start doing more interviews. Trump mentioned during an interview with Clay Travis on Air Force One that Harris should learn from former President Joe Biden, who avoided interviews during the COVID-19 pandemic and was able to get away with it.

Harris is considering a run for governor of California, and she is expected to decide by the end of the summer. The current governor, Gavin Newsom, is unable to run again in 2026 due to term limits. This opens up the possibility for other Democratic candidates to run for the position, with many speculating that Newsom might even run for president in 2028.

A former advisor to Harris told CBS News that she would be a good choice for governor, given her experience at both the national and state levels. However, Harris has faced criticism for not doing enough interviews during her bid for president, which some people say hurt her chances. As she considers this new path, her communication style may play a key role in her success.
