House Speaker Mike Johnson faces a challenging fight to keep his position this Friday, despite having support from President-elect Donald Trump. Johnson has been struggling with maintaining his role due to some disagreements within his party, particularly related to government spending decisions.

Johnson can only lose support from one Republican if all members vote, and already one member, Representative Thomas Massie from Kentucky, has said he will not support Johnson. Other Republicans have also expressed doubts, though none have made a firm decision against him like Massie.
