The 2024 elections are going to be India’s toughest and most important elections that are going to shape history. The Muslims and minorities of India are faced with the same difficult circumstances as they did back in 1952. Nehru called for a referendum then to let the public decide if India would be a secular state or a Hindu state.
The Muslims and minorities were assured that India would be a peaceful place for them to live in. Fast forward to 2024 where Muslims and minorities are at the worst possible place because of the Hindu Nationalist ruling party BJP.
Muslims in particular are being targeted with unjust policies like CAA, CAR etc. Since 2014, Hindutva policies are being introduced slowly to make India a Hindu State instead of a secular one.
Where the Muslims find themselves now is partly because of their-own fault too. There are around 47 seats where Muslims can influence the vote bank. Even if Muslims come out on the upcoming elections of June 4 and make a change with 50 seats, it will be quite life changing for Muslim and minorities of India.
For the Muslims, it is time to reflect and understand that which candidates need to be supported if they want to save India and its democracy and its constitution. These candidates should not be the ones that have already betrayed Muslims but the ones who are aiming to Unite India.
It is a humble request to all Indian Muslims that they think about their future and go out and vote for the right candidates in this historic 2024 elections.
