Red Heifer, Gaza Genocide and Al Aqsa Mosques demolition: What it means for Muslims and Jews?

The red heifer finds importance in the Jewish tradition and is clearly mentioned in the Holy Quran as well. The article below describes in detail the importance of red heifer in Muslim and Jewish traditions.

Red Heifer for Jews:

Since 1967, there has been a movement in Israel to rebuild the Holy Temple; however, the main obstacle is that the Temple Mount is currently occupied by the Dome of the Rock.

Just as the regathering of the Jewish People is fulfillment of Bible prophecy, so too is the building of the Third Holy Temple.

But the Temple service can’t begin without the parah adumah (red heifer).

“A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp.  They are to be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing; it is for purification from sin.”  (Numbers 19:9)

Resurrection of Third Temple:

Although various methods may be employed to cleanse a person from other forms of defilement, the ashes of the red heifer is the only remedy for the defilement that results from contact with a corpse. These red heifers have been found from Texas, US from where they’re being transported to West Bank at an unknown location.

So the Israelis are well on their way to destroy the Holy Al Aqsa Mosque and build their Third temple on its grounds.

Mention of Red Heifer in Quran:

The Holy Qur’an recounts the story of Prophet Musa (AS) and his people’s interactions with a cow, emphasizing the significance of this animal in their culture. When commanded by Allah to slaughter a cow, they hesitated and sought clarification regarding its specific characteristics.

And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: “Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow.” They said, “Do you make fun of us?” He said, Itake Allah’s Refuge from being among Al-Jahilun (the ignorant or the foolish). ” They said, “Call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!” He said, “He says: ‘Verily, it is a cow neither too old nor too young, but (it is) between the two conditions’, so do what you are commanded ” They said, “Call upon your Lordfor us to make plain to us its color.” He said, “He says: ‘It is a yellow cow, bright in its color, pleasing the beholders.” They said, “Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us what it is. Verily, to us all cows are alike. And surely, if Allah wills, we will be guided.” He [Musa (Moses)] said, “He says: ‘It is a cow neither trained to tilt the soil nor water the fields, sound, having no other color except bright yellow. ‘ “They said, “Now you have brought the truth.” So they slaughtered it though they were near to not doing it. And (remember) when you killed a man and fell into dispute among yourselves as to the crime. ButAllah brought forth that which you were hiding. So We said: “Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow).” Thus Allah brings the dead to life and shows you His Aya: (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand}. (Al-Baqarah, 67-73)

The Qur’anic narrative highlights the importance of obedience to divine commands and the role of cows in their religious rituals. Analogous to the Jewish tradition of the red heifer, the Qur’an underscores the symbolic significance of specific types of cows and their ritualistic use as well.

Relation of Slaughter of Red Heifer and doomsday:

There have been instances in the past as well where Jewish people have tried to slaughter Red Heifers but it didn’t have any impact. The presence of these cows in Palestine at this time is significant for two important reasons. Israeli Jews are very powerful at this point in time and the second reason being the war on Gaza that is already ongoing. These two reasons are of importance for the peace of the whole world. In the present situation where Israel is waging genocide under the ruse of hunting down Hamas, it is not difficult for them to label the destruction of Al Aqsa Mosque by saying that Hamas resided within the premises.

The potential demolition of these structures to make way for the temple construction poses not only a religious dilemma but also a geopolitical tinderbox, with ramifications that could reverberate far beyond the confines of the Gaza Strip and Palestine.

Amidst the fervor surrounding these developments, the internet has become a breeding ground for speculation and conspiracy theories, amplifying the collective sense of anticipation and dread regarding an impending apocalypse.
