Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has appointed Shahnawaz Qasim as his secretary.

Chief Secretary Santi Kumari issued the orders in this regard. Qasim, who belongs to the 2003 batch of the IPS, was serving as the Hyderabad Range IG.

In the meantime, the Telangana government has transferred some IPS officers, including the Commissioners of Police of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda.

Shahnawaz Qasim was born in Hyderabad in 1980. He joined the Indian Police Service in 2003.

He has served in various capacities in the Telangana Police, including as the Superintendent of Police of Nalgonda, Karimnagar, and Warangal.

He was also the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) in Telangana.

Qasim is known for his professional competence and integrity. He is also a fluent speaker of English and Urdu.

The appointment of Shahnawaz Qasim as the secretary to the Telangana Chief Minister is significant for several reasons.

First, it shows the trust that Revanth Reddy has in Qasim’s abilities. Second, it is a sign that the Telangana government is committed to promoting professionalism and integrity in the police force.

Third, it is a positive development for the people of Telangana, who can expect to see improved coordination and communication between the police and the government.
