Chicago – January 24, 2024
On Monday, shortly after returning from a five-day international travel, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy authorized the route map for the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project, which will connect the city’s four corners to the Shamshabad airport.
Under Phase 2, 70 km of new routes have been finalized. The new network will allow everyone from a common person to a wealthy commuter access to hassle-free transit facilities.
The Chief Minister urged officials to expedite the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project to ensure airport connectivity from various places, address rising traffic congestion, and satisfy future demand for public transportation.
Revanth Reddy has already ordered the cancellation of the airport Metro Rail links from Raidurg, as the previous BRS administration envisaged. He believed that the BRS government plan was inconvenient for most people since air travelers would first have to go to Raidurg before switching to the previously proposed airport route.
