Recently, a shocking incident happened in Des Plaines mosque that has left the whole Ummah concerned. There is a video circulating in TikTok and other social media where you can see 3-4 people beating a man with punches, slaps, and kicks. But we can see that the crowd was trying to stop the fight and protect the victim.
The incident occurred when donuts were distributed among people after the Taraweeh prayer. However, a man stood out of the crowd and started yelling. His point was that when Gaza is dying out of hunger, how can you buy food from businesses that support the Paletianins’ genocide? The statement led to arguments and then fights.
On the contrary, the security of the Des Plaines mosque stated that the man first physically attacked his opponents, which added fuel to the fire. The security stepped in at the right moment and saved the man.
The sad incident was reported to the police, and no official statement ha been made yet.
