Farmer leaders urge all the farmers for a nationwide ‘rail roko’ protest on March 10.

Chicago – March 02, 2024

Leaders of the farming community Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal called on farmers nationwide to protest on March 6 in Delhi. They also announced a four-hour nationwide “rail roko” on March 10 to promote their demands.

According to the two farmer leaders, the farmers will keep up their current agitation at the designated protest locations and won’t stop until their demands are fulfilled.

They were talking at Balloh village in Bathinda district, the hometown of a farmer who had recently passed away in Khanauri during fighting with Haryana security forces.

Lead by the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), farmers are participating in the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march to put pressure on the government to grant their demands, which include a legal guarantee of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops from the Center.
